HSV must deal with the future of Miro Muheim. The left-back is a fixed presence at the club, but his contract expires in 2027. Muheim, who is deeply rooted in Hamburg and led the team in the previous season as captain on several occasions, seems to have very specific ideas for his next career step. Talks about a possible contract extension at the Elbe have not yet taken place. The left-back is currently focusing on the World Cup with the Swiss national team after a severe syndesmose injury in April, from which he recovered just in time through a hard rehabilitation process. He will only deal with his club future after the tournament in North America. If there is no agreement on a new contract, HSV has already set a clear financial pain threshold: at least six million euros are demanded by the Hanseatic team in the summer sale. If Muheim, who celebrated his comeback in May with a test game against Jordan, also shines on the big WM stage, this sum and the number of interested parties will likely increase quickly.
