Hamburger SV has extended the contract with goalkeeper Hannes Hermann and simultaneously loaned him to third-division club Jahn Regensburg. This decision was announced on Monday. HSV sporting director Claus Costa explained that Hannes has undergone a positive development both sportingly and personally over the past few years. He has proven his potential in the U21 of Hamburger SV as well as with the U20 of the DFB. For Hermann's development, it is now crucial to gain match experience at a high level. The loan to Regensburg is seen as the right step. In the last two seasons, Hermann was the starting goalkeeper for Hamburger SV's U21, playing 60 matches and keeping 17 clean sheets. This experience will help him further develop and improve his skills in professional football.
