New Defensive Reinforcement

Hamburger SV announced on Thursday the acquisition of 29-year-old right-back Sylwia Matysik from 1. FC Köln on a free transfer. Matysik, who previously spent four years in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen, brings extensive experience and a strong mentality, which HSV director Christoph Rohmer describes as a "two-faced defensive player."

Matysik on the Move

Matysik expressed enthusiasm for the HSV concept and highlighted the club's impressive achievements in women's football. She sees the HSV structure as the ideal platform to further her career.

Additional Transfer Interests

Alongside the signing of Matysik, HSV is also interested in German U21 national player Elias Baum from Eintracht Frankfurt. Initial talks have already taken place to further strengthen the defence.
