Hamburger SV will part ways with Noah Katterbach in the summer. The left-back has little prospect at the club despite a contract until 2027 and will leave the HSV. Katterbach has not been used by the club for months and was mostly not even in the matchday squad. The 24-year-old only made it to the bench in two games and therefore has little chance of being nominated for the squad. In the winter, there was interest from Eintracht Braunschweig, who would have liked to sign the defender, but the HSV blocked a transfer at short notice. Katterbach was once considered a great talent and even won the Fritz-Walter Medal in gold twice. In January 2023, he initially moved to the HSV on loan and was signed by Hamburg in early 2024. However, after a cruciate ligament rupture in the 2025 winter training camp, this threw him back again. Since then, he has hardly played a role in sports and will now leave the club. Hamburger SV will start looking for a new left-back to fill the gap left by Katterbach's departure. The decision to part ways with Katterbach is not surprising, as the player had little prospect at the club. The HSV will now look to the future and focus on the upcoming games.
